Red Delicious was formed early in the spring of 1998. This three-piece band from Pasadena, California consists of production team Rob King and Steven Baca (aka King & Little Steven), and vocalist Sara Wallace. King & Little Steven have produced several successful dance re-mixes, including People Underground’s “Music Is Pumpin’” and DJ Dado’s “Give Me Love.” Both of these singles went to the Top 10 on the Billboard Dance Charts.
They have also produced and re-mixed tracks for Donna Summer, David Gordon, Devone, International Hooligans (Tony B! & DJ Orlando, and Walt Disney Records. In addition, they had a Top 10 hit in Taiwan on EMI Records with Gigi Leung’s “Short Hair.” Steve Baca was also the guitar player and primary songwriter for Vanity Kills, which released an album through Hollywood Records in 1991. Rob King has been engineering and producing for the past few years, working with several different bands including Elektra’s Moonpools & Caterpillars. He has also produced music for many popular CD-Rom titles.
Sara Wallace met Rob in 1996 while recording a track with her band Starblind for the Dewdrops Records compilation, Splashed With Many A Speck. Starblind performed locally for two years. Sara has also appeared with Interfaith on their single “Blood On Mars,” released early in 1998.
